I am slipping

I am slipping on this blog just a little. What is funny is that the times that I am the busiest are times that I forget to post. These could be the most interesting of posts. At work my mind has been racing about motion graphics and learning After Effects, and trying to come up with a better project management style (even though the actual work i have been doing is not so exciting.

Last night we had some friends over for dinner. Everybody had fun. The conversation came up that Toby is having a language explosion right now. Talking it up about everything. He is also getting to be two and becoming a bit defiant. We are lucky with our kids. Even with their challenges, they exceed at being cute.

Tonight is date night. We haven't been on a date in a really long time. I think the plan is this... go to wine and cheese gallery for wine and cheese, then stop by our friend Charlie's art show, and then get dinner (thai or sushi). It is going to be a downtown on bike date.

The weekend has a lot to offer. The Spring Arts Festival, a festival at our CSA farm, a birthday party, Virginia has a baby shower, and I think we are going to buy a bulk freezer (we have American Express points), so that we will have space after going blueberry picking and strawberry picking, and for the ice cream maker and our new popsicle maker. We might even start getting some bulk meet.  We have some around the house projects that haven't gotten done, building items that I got at IKEA last week.

County government is going into intense budget discussion, and the state is probably going to make public employees start contributing to the pension plan (ie. less money to take home). Hopefully, my department won't get hit too hard and there won't be too many layoffs this year.

I will try to get back on board with this thing more. Right now, I am listening to Crooked Fingers without headphones because everyone else is gone for the day. 4:30 on Friday is almost weekend.
