Southern dinner

Chicken, fried green tomatoes, corn on the cob, and watermelon for dessert.

A day off

Not going to the office today.
Had a nice breakfast with the kids. We set up a chair for the muno doll. I think it is helping Toby sit at the table. He usually tries to flee. Got Toby to start drinking his milk in a big kid cup- this is progress. Henry helped me do some raking, and now I am at the eye doctor for a check up. After this we go to home depot to get supplies to build a kid play tent.
It is a nice day. I have been working on smiling and that helps calm me down when I get stressed.

Trees are gone

The tree guys came and hacked down everything. Virginia let Henry stay home from school to watch. They have to come back to grind the stumps, but we know how everything is going to look. Thanks to lants for giving the recommendation.
No work tomorrow because I have put in so many hours already. Yard work though - there is always that.
Listened to a simplicity parenting lecture that was pretty good. Got some good tips.

The day

I listened to a TED talk today about the importance of smiling. How it leads to longevity and such. Beginning now I will smile more.
We had good meetings with a tree guy and a curb guy. We will begin work in the next few days to move our driveway to the safer street of our corner.
I worked until 11 last night broadcasting the commission meeting. I have not been that tired in awhile. This means that I should have most of Friday off.
Tonight we watched tv and drank wine, which is nice sometimes.

Crazy day

Very busy and unexpected day. Nothing happened according to plan but somehow a lot got done. Lots of quick turn around projects at work. After work me and Virginia went on a mini date - dinner at Boca fiesta and desert at mochi. All said and done a nice day. We might try to meet for lunch tomorrow. I will be in the county commission meeting most of the day, so we shall see.
I think the kids had a good day. They were in very high spirits when I saw them.
I downloaded the new beastie boys record. I don't know when I will get a chance to listen to it. At work I suppose.

Mothers day

Started the day with a mellow breakfast, then a long drive to Tampa. Took the kids to visit my parents - giving Virginia the day off and my mom her grand kids to play with. Brunch and the park, then the drive back home just in time for dinner. Finally fixed the flat on my bike. Busy weekend. Tomorrow back to work. Finally getting to bed late as always.

The day

It really was a pretty busy day. I took Toby to the park during soccer - came home and did a bit of work in the yard and installed our new bug zapper - went to a birthday party for one of henry's classmates- then went to dinner at the top. Those were the high points. The internal monologue is about how shy I have become and how difficult I am finding it to relate to people. Maybe it was just the day. Tomorrow I take the kids to visit my parents for the day. Another busy day for sure.
